When Nintendo first reared its awe inspiring head, it almost immediately went to the forefront of gaming technology. Through its first console to, arguably, the n64. I even maintained that the Gamecube was the superior of its 2 competitors. I think its safe to say I was a Nintendo fan, through and through. I got the wii as my newer generation console. I adamantly stuck to my guns when defending against the horde of new generation gamers complain about the inferior graphics and lack of a game catalog. With all this said I think it fair to say I was highly UNDERwhelmed by the Wii. I found the gimmicky motion controlling to be a successful attempt to snag an untapped market, but I was already sold with videogames, so I didn't need that kind of boost. And now its seeming quite clear to me that Nintendo seems quite fine in neglecting certain fans (notice I don't say all, I know some of out there are fine with this). Here is my question: do you think Nintendo will ever forgo their quest for "the next big thing" in favor of making some just good old fashioned games games? That is what I miss. Games without cheap tricks (I'm looking at you, 3D). I play my Wii maybe once every 8 months or when a good game comes out i'll play it for a while (last time was Mario Galaxy.... the first one). Anyway, thoughts? Opinions? Disagreements? Discuss! ----------------------------- Acekard 3DSR4 3DSR4 3DS card
